Growing up in Outback Queensland, Scotty Mack once called Charleville QLD his home, living and breathing what life in the outback means to this inspiring singer/songwriter.

But In 1995, Scotty’s world was turned upside down following the sudden death of his father. He was only ten years old, and this would be a huge turning point for both Scotty and his Mum. “Mum loved country music and a good time”, explains Scotty. Thats where i caught the country music bug, “We would travel to all the local events where a band was playing, and I remember Mum taking me to the Roma Country Music Festival to watch my cousin sing. I said I want to do that mum!!”

Not long after, Scotty got his first chance to sing on stage with the Walmsley brothers, performing on the back of a truck at the Charleville racecourse. “From then on I was hooked”, says Scotty. Influenced by Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn and Alan Jackson, Scotty Mack became a Finalist in the Road to Tamworth and Qld Champion of Champions competitions.

Most recently scotty has appeared on the tv show "the voice" making his TV debut and joined that ranks of being a gympie muster artist. Playing at the crowbar in 2023.
